Name Nimit: The name “Nimit” carries a special significance
for the foundation. In the Indian Ancient Sanskrit language, “Nimit”
means ‘purpose’ or ‘destiny.’ The foundation aims to fulfill its purpose by serving as a catalyst for positive change and creating a destiny where hunger is eradicated, and all members of society thrive.

Nimit Foundation is a compassionate 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization dedicated to alleviating hunger and food insecurity among vulnerable communities. Established in 2020 as a founded by Gurmeet Singh (Ashu), and his family. ever since we start our Nonprofit Nimit Foundation has been relentlessly since the pandemic COVID-19, During the terrible time of Covid-19 when all the first responders and all other workers were working Nonstop to save the world and Doctors were Nonstop doing double & triple shift. Nimit Foundation was working Nonstop to feed all Local Hospital staff, Local Police, fire & First responders & many other departments. Nimit Foundation is working towards the noble mission of ensuring that no one goes to bed hungry. They say food is a direct point into someone’s heart. We strive to create a hunger-free community for everyone, especially the neediest. “Free Food for the Needy” is a project to support everyone in New Jersey who sleeps without food. Gurmeet (Ashu) Singh
Ashu is the CEO of Nimit Palace Indian Restaurant and Hospitality Group, which includes the Nimit Foundation, a nonprofit organization. His flagship restaurant in New Jersey is South Jersey's top destination for authentic Northern Indian cuisine. With a career marked by innovative ventures, Ashu elevated Nimit Palace's value from $6 million to $10 million. A dynamic entrepreneur, Ashu is also deeply committed to philanthropy. He has volunteered over 18,000 hours, served 1,250,000 meals to the homeless, and supported education for underprivileged children in India and China. His leadership roles include CEO of Nimit Palace, founder of Nimit Group, Inc., and several other business and nonprofit ventures.
Ashu's numerous awards include the 2023 Camden County MLK Freedom Medal and the 2024 Presidential Service Award from the White House. His dedication to his industry, community, and family exemplifies his belief in making a significant, positive impact on the world.
NIMIT KAUR
Nimit currently serves as the Disability Services Coordinator and Area Grant Planner at Camden County Health and Human Services, advocating for individuals with disabilities. Additionally, as a Digital Accessibility Consultant at Tamman Technologies Inc., Nimit works to make digital spaces more inclusive. Co-founder of the Nimit Foundation Inc., Nimit is committed to supporting individuals with disabilities and giving back to the community through various initiatives.
In her free time, Nimit enjoys spending time with loved ones, exploring nature, and reading. She is inspired by those who work to build a world where everyone is valued and included.
PAUL JAMES SINGH
Born in Moradabad, U.P., and raised in New Delhi, Paul brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep commitment to his field. His motto, "Honesty is the Best Policy," reflects his dedication to integrity and hard work. Paul's diverse heritage, with roots in both Kashmiri Pandit and Methodist Christian traditions, has shaped his unique perspective. He proudly carries forward his family's legacy and values.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Paul is passionate about making a significant contribution to his industry and nurturing a sustainable planet.
